Competition System
The composition of the final stage of the USSR championship, 16 people, was recruited from the winners of the last final and the winners of the qualifying tournament. The system of the finals is a round robin, the qualifiers are Swiss.

The assignee of the USSR Championship is the Russian Renju Championship , consisting of two stages, qualifying and final. The first final of the Russian Championship was held in February 1993 in the city of Yelets; qualifying tournament for him was held in Moscow in November 1992. The championship is held annually.
