Veteran of labor of the Nizhny Novgorod region

The honorary title "Honored Veteran of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" was introduced by the Law of the Nizhny Novgorod Region of November 27, 2007 No. 160-З.

The title may be awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation residing in the Nizhny Novgorod Region and having at least 40 years of insurance for men and 35 years for women, provided they reach a generally established age that gives them the right to an old-age retirement pension in accordance with Article 7 of the Federal Law dated December 17, 2001 N 173-ФЗ "On labor pensions in the Russian Federation".

Persons applying for the title of “Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” submit an application to the Department of Social Protection of the Population at the place of residence with documents confirming the existence of grounds for awarding the title of “Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region”. The Social Security Department verifies the documents submitted by the applicant and registers the application with the documents on the day they are submitted to the journal with the receipt of the applicant's receipt on acceptance of the application and documents for the title of Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

In case of discrepancy in the documents, either inaccurate or distorted information, or incompleteness of the submitted documents, the application and documents are not registered, while the citizen is given oral consultation and the fact of his appeal is recorded in the register of consultations and oral appeals of citizens on the day of the citizen's appeal.

The Social Security Department within 3 working days from the date of registration of the application calculates the length of insurance and transfers the application and documents for consideration to the commission of the Office of Social Security at the place of residence of citizens.

The Commission reviews the documents and makes a decision on the preparation of the application for the conferment of the title “Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” for each application considered or, if the submitted documents do not comply with the current legislation on the preparation of the application for refusal to confer the title of “Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region” (hereinafter referred to as the application for failure).

The application for appropriation and the application for refusal are drawn up by the Department of Social Protection of the Population and submitted to the Ministry of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region by the 20th of each month.

In case of confirmation of the discrepancy of the submitted documents with the current legislation, the Ministry prepares a written notice to the citizen indicating the reasons for the refusal, which is sent to the applicant within 10 business days after the check is completed, a copy of the written notice is sent to the Office of Social Welfare of the population at the applicant’s place of residence.

In the case of establishing compliance of the submitted documents with the current legislation, the citizen is included in the next order of the Ministry on awarding the title of “Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region”. The order on conferring the title "Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" is sent to the Department of Social Protection at the place of residence of citizens.

Within 10 days from the date of receipt of an order from the Ministry of Social Protection, the Directorate of Social Protection of the Population at the place of residence informs the person who has been awarded the title "Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" about its assignment.

A person who is awarded the title "Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" is issued a certificate of "Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" by the Department of Social Protection at the place of residence.

Applications and documents for conferring the title "Veteran of Labor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" are stored in the Office of Social Security at the place of residence of citizens.

The following benefits are granted to a labor veteran of the Nizhny Novgorod Region: ^[3]

• monthly cash payment of 508 rubles;
• monthly monetary compensation in the amount of 50 percent of the payment for housing within the social norm of the housing area, taking into account family members of the indicated persons who are dependent on them and living together with them, and provided utility services, except for payment for solid fuel (if there is stove heating) , within the established standards of consumption of utilities; quarterly monetary compensation of expenses for the purchase of solid fuel in the amount of 380 rubles (in the presence of furnace heating);
• providing, taking into account the average per capita income of the veteran family, preferential tickets to social rehabilitation institutions of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
• The above benefits are granted to labor veterans of the Nizhny Novgorod Region who have an income below the average per capita cash income in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, determined according to the territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Nizhny Novgorod Region in accordance with the latest annual balance of cash income and expenses of the population approved by the Federal State Statistics Service. For 2015, the average per capita cash income in the Nizhny Novgorod region is 27,929.80 rubles.
