Biography

Ermano Aebie was born on January 13, 1892 in Milan , in a Swiss-Italian family (the football player’s father was Swiss and his mother was Italian) [2] . He started playing football in Switzerland, in the college of the city of Neuchâtel [3] . He played the position of attacking midfielder. He is the first foreigner to play for the Italian national team [4] . He made his debut for the Milan “ Inter ” in the season 1909/1910 in the match against Torino (7: 2). In total , Ermano Aebi spent 11 long years in the “neradzuri” , for which he played 142 mast, in which he scored 106 goals [5] .

For his style of play got the nickname "Signora" [3] . He made his debut in the Italian national team on January 18, 1920 , in a match with France. Squadra Adzura won with a score of 9: 4, with Aebi scoring three goals [6] . In the season 1922/1923 , after playing the only match against Torino (0: 6), Abei ended up playing for Inter , and at the same time his playing career [7] . Without finally saying goodbye to football, he began his career as a football referee [4] .
