Konchalovsky Street - a street in the city of Obninsk , named after the artist Pyotr Konchalovsky . One of three similar streets in the territory of the former USSR .

History
From 1932 until his death in 1956, Pyotr Konchalovsky almost without a living lived in a cottage in the Bugras , which he bought from Anna Troyanovskaya .
Formally, Konchalovsky never lived in Obninsk, since the city, into the borders of which the Bugras entered, appeared in July 1956 - five months after the artist’s death. Nevertheless, with the village of Obninsky, which appeared around Object "B" , Konchalovsky had a wide variety of connections. For example, seedlings of lilacs inherited by Konchalovsky together with a summer house from Ivan Troyanovsky were transferred to him by agronomist Stefaniya Kudryavtseva and planted last throughout Obninsk.
Konchalovsky Street in Obninsk is not directly related to Konchalovsky and was named in memory of the artist in the early 1960s. This is one of the shortest streets of Obninsk, on which there are three residential buildings and the Rhythm club.
In contrast to the street named after Konchalovsky by order of the Obninsky city executive committee, other toponyms appeared in Obninsk related to the name of Konchalovsky, but which got their names spontaneously: Konchalovsky mountains (the new “popular” name of the former Bugrov ), Konchalovsky forest (the forest around Konchalovsky's dacha) , Konchalovsky cemetery (the name passed to the cemetery from the Konchalovsky mountains ; another, ernical name of the cemetery is Konchalovka [1] ).
