Internet in the Republic of China

Internet penetration in the Republic of China is 70%, which corresponds to the fourth place in Asia (2011), 75% (2012) [1] [2] .

Broadband Internet began to be developed since 2000, and by 2012 the number of subscribers reached 5.7 million. The number of mobile Internet users is 21.8 million. [2] In 2011, the number of FTTx subscribers exceeded the number of xDSL subscribers. [3]
