Mayda ( Mayda Insula ) - an island on Titan , the largest satellite of Saturn . It is surrounded by the Kraken Sea , the largest of the "seas" and "lakes" of Titan . In the images transmitted by the Cassini-Huygens spacecraft , the island looks like a bright spot against the background of the dark sea of Kraken, consisting of a liquid mixture of hydrocarbons with dissolved nitrogen and other impurities.
The island is located in the northern (subpolar) part of the Kraken Sea. The center of the island has coordinates [1] . The size of the island is 150 × 90 km. Named after the ghost island of Maida , supposedly located in the northeast Atlantic Ocean .
