The company is the world's largest aviation leasing company in terms of assets, but their main competitor, GECAS , a division of General Electric, owns a large number of aircraft. The company leases Boeing and Airbus aircraft and works primarily with large airlines. ILFC clients include Aeroméxico , Air Canada , Asiana Airlines , Korean Air , Cathay Pacific , Cyprus Airways , Air France-KLM , Lufthansa , Alaska Airlines , American Airlines , Air India , United Airlines , Norwegian Air Shuttle , Pakistan International Airlines , Emirates , Gulf Air , and more recently, Delta Air Lines .
History
Leslie and Louis Gonda, father and son, together with Stefan Udvar-Hazy founded ILFC in 1973 . In 1990, the company was sold to the international insurance company AIG , although until February 2010, Udvar-Khazi remained at the head of the company. In May 2010, Henri Kurpron, previously a member of Airbus management, was appointed ILFC CEO and President.

International Lease Finance Corporation was bought in 2014 by the Dutch company AerCap . [9]
