The port has 17 berths and piers for both sea and river vessels, of which 14 are part of the trading port. Of these, 9 freight, 4 auxiliary and 1 passenger.
The total length of the berths is 1450 m. Cargo operations are carried out by 14 gantry cranes, with a lifting capacity of 5-20 tons, 30 auto-loaders with a lifting capacity of 1-10 tons, a floating crane with a lifting capacity of 5 tons, truck cranes. Storage of goods is carried out in covered warehouses and open storage areas. The area of covered warehouses is 8.7 thousand m 2 , the area of open warehouses is 40.1 thousand m 2 . The port's cargo turnover is comprised of cargoes arriving at the enterprises of the city, as well as for settlements on the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk . General, timber, mineral and construction cargo, coal, and containers are processed at the port. Loads weighing no more than 20 tons can be overloaded.
The fleet includes several tugboats and towing boats, pilot boats and a station, a passenger ship, several barges. The latter transported goods to points of the Tugypo-Chumikan district . Nikolaevsk-on-Amur is connected by regular flights with the cities of Khabarovsk , Okhotsk , Komsomolsk-on-Amur , Blagoveshchensk . The port is closed for foreign vessels. The berths of the port are on the balance of the Nikolaev-on-Amur branch of the Maritime Administration of the ports of Vanino and Sovetskaya Gavan . Cargo transshipment is carried out by Nikolaev-on-Amur Sea Commercial Port.
