The Freddie Mercury Album is a compilation , posthumous solo project featuring Queen frontman and vocalist Freddie Mercury , released on November 16, 1992 . The album reached fourth place on the UK chart and remained in this position for 14 weeks, while receiving the status of gold.

About the album
The Freddie Mercury Album includes remixes of the latest songs released by him, as well as the original songs of Barcelona , “Love Kills”, “Exercises In Free Love” and a cover version of the song “ The Great Pretender ”.
The collection consists of 11 solo songs by Freddie Mercury, performed by him throughout his solo career (from 1984 to 1988 ), as well as tracks from the album “Mr. Bad Guy, a special mix for this edition.
Two singles were released from this album: a remake of the song “ The Great Pretender ” and “ Living on My Own ” (radio mix). The latter was the first and only (posthumous) in the career of Freddie Mercury composition, which rose to the top of the UK Singles Chart .
F. Mercury's posthumous album, entitled "The Great Pretender" and similar to this collection, but with a bias towards remixes, was also released in the USA and Canada.
For the first time, 4 previously unreleased tracks appeared on this disc: “The Great Pretender”, a cover version of the Platters song recorded in 1987 , “ Time ” and “In My Defense” written by Mercury in 1986 , as well as “ Love Kills ”, recorded by Mercury together with Giorgio Moroder in 1984 (used in the soundtrack for the film“ Metropolis ”).
