Miloye Pavlovich ( Serb. ' Cute Pavlovi; November 28, 1887 , Gorne Yarushitsa - October 21, 1941 ) - Yugoslav teacher, director of the Women's School of Teachers in Kragujevac, partisans of the People's Liberation War, People's Hero of Yugoslavia.

Biography

Born November 28, 1887 in the village of Gorne-Yarushitsa near Rachi-Kraguyevachka. He graduated from elementary school in his native village, secondary in Kragujevac. He studied at the University of Belgrade, had two higher educations: philosophical (1912) and legal (1925). He served in the Serbian and Yugoslav royal armies, participated in the Balkan and World War I. For bravery in battles, he was awarded the Order of the White Eagle and the Gold Medal for bravery, rose to the rank of colonel of cavalry.

Miloye Pavlovich was a well-known social worker, for a long time he held the position of the elder of the Sokol County of Kragujevac, chairman of the People's University of Kragujevac, the French Club and other organizations. During the dictatorship of the sixth January Petr Zhivkovich, 1929, the People’s University was forced to suspend work, and Pavlovich left for Valevo. He headed the committee on the construction of a monument to the fallen inhabitants of Shumadiya, was a member of a group of reserve officers. He worked in the magazines Misao ( Serb. Thought ), Venatz ( Serb. Korona ), Glasnik Profesorsky Drushtva ( Serb. Journal of the Association of Professors ), Voeni Vesnik ( Serb. Military Bulletin ), Uchiteisk Spark ( Serbian Teaching Spark ), “Kizhevni Sever” ( Serbian Literary North ), published the newspaper Polet.

Pavlovich was a fairly educated person, spoke four languages. In addition to his professionalism, he was a supporter of democracy and one of the patriots of Orthodox Serbia. He was considered a worthy, brave and modest person, among the students he enjoyed authority. He promoted democratic ideas from 1930 until the outbreak of the war, having managed to bring them to life at the Teaching School. Pavlovich was an anti-fascist and did not approve the rapprochement between Yugoslavia and Germany, as a result of which he actively participated in demonstrations from March 25 to 27, 1941.

October 20, 1941 he was arrested with 7 thousand civilians (including schoolchildren) from Kragujevac and sent to the barracks, which served as a prison. The invaders suggested Miloia go over to the side of the enemy, but he refused to betray his friends and students, for which he was shot the next day. November 27, 1953 was posthumously awarded the title of People's Hero of Yugoslavia.
