Biography
Born on March 8, 1915 in Chachak in the family of Philip and Vinka Pavlovich. The fifth child in the family (three sisters and a brother). My father died in 1930, when Militsa was in high school grade 5. She graduated from high school in 1933, entered the University of Belgrade at the Faculty of Philosophy, where she studied Yugoslav literature and the Serbo-Croatian language. While still a student of the school, she began reading revolutionary literature. She was especially fond of the works of Maxim Gorky and Nikolai Ostrovsky . She graduated Chachakskuyu high school , joined the youth revolutionary movement, joined the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia. In 1934 he was admitted to the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, was actively involved in student demonstrations.
In 1939 she graduated from the University, got a job at the Secondary Technical School in Leskovac, where she taught Serbo-Croatian language and geography. She was engaged in active cultural and educational activities in Leskovac, in September 1940 she moved to Valevo, where she also worked in the Secondary Technical School. In both cities, helped the work of local city committees. In 1941, after the outbreak of war with Germany, she joined a partisan underground movement under the name "Dara" (in honor of her older sister, whom she loved very much). She bought weapons, uniforms and supplies for the Valevsky partisan detachment. At the request of the Valevsky district committee, she organized an underground party cell in the city. Actively helped the detachment, attracting volunteers to the detachment from different villages. In September 1941, she left Valevo because of the danger of being arrested. During operation uzice participated in the battles of Povlene, Malena, and Suvobore Medvednik. In April 1942, she was appointed secretary of the district committee Walewski, took a call volunteers to guerrilla groups. In September 1943, he opened a 15-day course of young fighters and political officers, which caused excitement in the party.
June 5 1944 the year police in the forest together with the soldiers Rubber Yoshevskogo guerrilla group carrying security service. In the forest he stole one of nedichevskih spies and said chotnikam lurking about detachment. In the early morning of June 6, the couple surrounded the house of Given Andrich, in which Militsa spent the night. When trying to break through, Militsa was captured, and Zhivan was stabbed to death. The prisoner was taken to the village of Lelich , where he was tortured for two days. On the night of June 7-8, Militsa tried to escape, but was badly wounded by chetniks. The torture continued, but the teacher refused to extradite her associates. As a result, she died after numerous stab wounds.
After the war, Militsa was buried in Čačak. December 14 1949 the year the Presidium of the National Assembly awarded her the title of People's Hero of Yugoslavia. In Cacak, her name is secondary school.
