Fakuly Nicobar ( Latin Nicobar Faculae ) - a group of relatively small bright spots on the surface of Titan , Saturn’s largest moon .
Geography and Geology
The coordinates of the center - [1] . The maximum size is 575 km . Fakula Nicobar are inside the dark terrain of Shangri-La , and to the west of it - light terrain Dilmun . Next to them there are many other fakula of Titan: in the north-west - fakula Oahu , in the northeast - the largest fakula of Titan - fakula Crete , in the south-east - fakula Kerguelen , in the south-west - fakula Mindanao , fakula Sikoku and others .
The fakula of Nicobar are likely to be tectonic in origin [2] . They were found on images from the Cassini spacecraft.
Eponym
Named for the Nicobar Islands [1] . The name was approved by the International Astronomical Union in 2006 [1] .
