The Peace Memorial Hall in memory of the victims of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima ( 国立 広 島 原 爆 死 没 者 追悼 平和 祈 念 館 ) is the State Peace Memorial Hall dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima , Japan .
History
The memorial hall was opened by the Japanese government in 2002 in memory of the victims of the atomic bomb. The author of the project is Kenzo Tange .
There is another State Peace Memorial Hall dedicated to the victims of the atomic bombing in Nagasaki .
The hall is located in Peace Park near the Peace Memorial across the Motoyasu River at the Motoyasu Bridge.
Surviving witnesses of the disaster gather here and share their memories of the atomic bombing, remembering the dead. Names are also recorded here and photographs of the victims of the atomic bomb are stored.
The collection of the collection allows us to trace the history of the consequences of the atomic bombing of the city.
