Located on the southwestern coast of Lake Nivno , 14 km south of the city of Opochka and 1 km north of the village of Balakhi .
The population as of 2000 was 38 [1] , in 2012 it was 44.
Until 2005, the village was part of the now-abolished Krasnooktyabrskaya volost with the center in the village of Balakhi .
