Content
Geography
The village is located on the Kuma River, in the southern part of the Chernozemelsky District , 17 kilometers (along a country road) to the west of the village of Kumskaya .
History
Rybachy emerged as a village in the production site of the Kumskoye Youth Housing. The name "Fisherman" was appropriated by a resolution of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Kalmyk ASSR on April 8, 1961 [2] .

According to the 2002 census, the majority of the population of the village were Dargins (44%) and Chechens (33%) [5]
