Creativity

Even in the guesthouse, along with his friend, Count S.P. Potemkin , he composed the opera “Darling” [6] based on Bogdanovich’s poem, which was then luxuriously published with engravings. Arkady Vasilyevich wrote:

More than others, I was friends with Count Samoilov and with Count Sergei Pavlovich Potemkin, with the latter we translated Rasin , wrote poems and even published “Darling”, an opera in poems taken from Bogdanovich’s poem, which was later printed and cursed in magazines, which forever cured us of the desire to be writers. The publication was made at the expense of Potemkin in the most magnificent way with engravings.
