The village is located on the left, high and steep bank of the Sundoba , a tributary of the Volga . Upstream on the same bank is the village of Golovichino . Downstream on the same right bank is the village of Kushlyaevo . The village is located north of the Rybinsk - Shashkovo highway, a country road leads to it along the bank of the Sundoba to the village of Kushlyaevo [2] .
The village of Mitenina is indicated on the plan of the General land survey of the Rybinsk district of 1792.
As of January 1, 2007, there were no permanent residents in the village [3] . The post office, located in the center of the rural settlement of Nazarovo , serves 14 houses in the village of Mityanino [4] .
