History
The Okhten State Forest Dacha was founded at the beginning of the 18th century, and for the first time it was dissociated , already under the name Dacha of the Okhta military settlements, in the course of the Ingermanland survey in 1848. According to the plan of 1833, the first in Russia forest management was carried out on the territory of the massif; the area of the massif was then equal to 5747 ha. In 1868, part of the array (1938 hectares) was transferred to the Ministry of State Property .
On March 22, 1902, the massif received the status of “training forest” by going to the St. Petersburg Forest Institute (now the Forestry University), and on October 20, 1922 it was given the name “educational and experimental farm”.
Then the area of the massif was gradually reduced, and by 1970 it was 1111 hectares. In 1978, a part of the territory of the Vsevolozhsk parkleshoz with an area of 618.9 hectares was transferred to the Okhta leshoz, and the leshoz area was 1,729 hectares. At the same time, two training forest districts were organized: in the northern part of the forestry enterprise - Zhernovskoye , with an area of 924 hectares, in the southern part - Kudrovskoye , with an area of 805 hectares. Prior to this division into forest districts, the leshoz did not have [1] [3] .
In 2009, in connection with the construction of the Ring Road , 3.1 hectares of forest park were transferred to industrial lands [2] .
