Unified National Exams

Unified National Exams (ENE) - a series of exams that an applicant takes in Georgia to continue their studies at the university. In 2005, by decision of the Government of Georgia , the old, Soviet system was replaced by a new one. According to the National Examination Center , a “fair, transparent, homogeneous, meritocracy -based system has been developed and implemented that provides the selection of the best applicants for universities. [1] From 2005, up to 100,000 applicants became students of accredited universities in Georgia based on the results of the Unified Energy School .

Content

History

2005 - All applicants passed three mandatory exams (Georgian language and Literature, foreign languages ​​and general skills). Some applicants passed math exams, if required by the faculty.

2006 - Three exams were added to the list of selective exams - Natural sciences, history of Georgia, social sciences, literature. Evaluated works of applicants were published on the Internet. Any applicant could see his work before the appeal. The rule of state financing has changed. It was decided that a grant, instead of those exams, will be awarded based on the result of general skills.

2007 - The work of applicants was published on the Internet. Any applicant was able to check their work on the Internet.

2008 - Tests on general skills were translated into Armenian and Azerbaijani languages. Successfully implemented a computer correction system (eMarker).

2009 - The minimum level of competency was increased. Experts were selected on a competitive basis.

2010 - 4 exams became mandatory for all applicants. The issuance of state funding became possible after passing all exams.
