Located on the banks of the Cheryokha River, 22 km east of the city of Ostrov and 4 km north of the volost center, the village of Vorontsovo .
The population of the village as of 2000 is 295 inhabitants. [one]
Until 2005, the village was part of the now abolished Sharkunov volost as its administrative center.
