Content
Club career
He began his career at the Dynamo Football Academy from Lagos . In 2007, he went to Europe on the advice of his agent to sign a contract with Vesby United , but he did not fit the club and as a result signed his first professional contract with the Stockholm club Djurgarden . In the main part of the capital's team, he failed to gain a foothold. Kennedy played mainly for the junior team, having spent only 2 games in Allsvenskan .
Djurgarden
On June 19, 2007, he made his debut for Djurgarden in the championship. At the 81st minute of the away match with Hammarby , the head coach let the Nigerian enter the field instead of Jones Kushi-Asara [3] . The club was not going to extend the expired agreement with him, and Igboananike was forced to leave the team, after which he went to the Braga for viewing, however, he did not fit the coaching staff here either [2] .
Vasalund
At the beginning of the new season, the Nigerian signed a contract with Vasalund , representing the First Division of Sweden. In the debut season for the new club, Kennedy scored 18 goals in 25 games, which allowed him to become the top scorer of the championship, and his team to take second place and break into Superettan [2] . In the sub-elite division, the striker spent 26 games, scored a third of all the goals of his team, but this did not save her from relegation. In the final table, “Vasalund” took the last place [4] . The management wanted to leave the player in the team, but the successful game of the Nigerian attracted the attention of his former club. In January 2010, Igboananike again became a player of Djurgarden .
Djurgarden
In the first season after Kennedy returned, he scored 9 goals and became the team’s top scorer [5] . The next year, often appearing in the first team, the striker scored irregularly. But after the September hat-trick against the Trelleborg goal and the winning goal in the derby with AIK, he again attracted public attention. He was looked at by several clubs from Turkey , Holland , France and England , but the Danish Brondby was the most obvious [6] .
At the beginning of 2012, Igboananike had a conflict with the coaching staff of Djurgården [7] , after which he was transferred to the junior team, with whom he trained the first half of the championship. As a result, he spent 5 games, never having distinguished themselves in them.
AIK
On November 14, 2012, the leadership of AIK announced the signing of a three-year contract with Kennedy Igboananike, who at the end of the season became a free agent [8] .
Chicago Fire
On December 2, 2014, the MLS Club Chicago Fire announced a contract with Igboananike [9] .
International Career
On March 27, 2014 Igboananike received Swedish citizenship and, therefore, the potential to play for the Swedish national team [10] .

Kennedy was born in the city of Igbo , which is located in eastern Nigeria . His favorite football player, admittedly, is the Spanish striker David Villa [2] .
