It is located on the Novorzhev - Bezhanitsy highway ( P58 ), 12 km east of the city of Novorzhev and 5 km south of the village of Barut .
The population as of 2000 is 133 residents [1] .
Until 2005, the village was part of the now abolished Zaboryevsky volost (centered in the village of Makarovo by the name of the village of Zaborye ).
