History
On July 5, 1957, Pope Pius XII issued the bull “ Crescit laetissimo ”, which was established by the Apostolic Vicariate of Nha Trang, separating it from the Apostolic Vicariate of Quigneon (today - the Diocese of Quignon ) and Saigon (today - the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh ).
On November 24, 1960, Pope John XXIII issued the bull Venerabilium Nostrorum , which transformed the Apostolic Vicariate of Nha Trang into a diocese.
On January 30, 1975, the Diocese of Nha Trang transferred part of its territory for the construction of the new Diocese of Phan Thien .
