Description
The cult of the goddess grew in the XII dynasty , when three pharaohs were called her sons. One of these pharaohs was Senusert I , whose name translates as "Man of the Goddess Uselet" or "Strong Man."
This goddess was depicted very rarely. Not a single temple was found with its image. One of the few images of the goddess is a stele with a bas-relief , where the goddess is depicted in the rightmost part.
The seater was depicted in high crowns, with the uas scepter in her hand, whose name was associated with her name, the goddess could also have the uas scepter with a Maat feather above her head, and a spear, a bow and arrows in her hands.
In more recent times, the goddess Usret was replaced by the goddess Mut , who became the form of the goddess Hathor . She was also identified with the protector of the god Horus , the son of Isis (when he was young).
She was the first wife of Amon ( John Ray spoke of her as “the theological equivalent of the girl next door”), then she was replaced by the goddess Mut [1] . It is also likely that the name Mut is a later version of the name .
