Kaller, Yakov Alexandrovich

He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (1964-1969) at the Faculty of Semiconductor Materials and Devices. From 1969 to 1981, he worked at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Current Sources (VNIIT) as a junior research fellow and a leading engineer.

At the Gorky film studio he worked as deputy director of the film crew (1981), entered the VGIK at the faculty of Economics and Organization of Production (in absentia). After graduating from VGIK in 1987, he worked as director of the Zodiak creative association (1987-1990), director of the film crew of directors T. M. Lioznova (“End of the World with a Follow-up Symposium”, 1986) and S. I. Rostotsky (“From Life Fedor Kuzkin ", 1988). At the same time he was engaged in journalism, published movie reviews and humorous notes in the newspapers Sport, Trud, Moskovsky Komsomolets , Evening Moscow and others.

Since 1991, he was the producer of the Center and 100 degrees Celsius programs for Channel 1 of Ostankino . In 1993, he created the private producer television company Art-Business-TV (since 2000 - AB-TV).

The television company produces programs and documentaries of a cognitive and cultural-educational nature, for which it was awarded at Russian and international festivals (within the Russian Federation), including the TEFI national television award .

AB-TV collaborates with the TV channels Channel One , Russia , MTK , Culture , TVC , Capital , Capital Plus / Trust ), Domashny , Zvezda , Ren-TV , Moscow 24 , Israel Plus , NTV Mir , Soyuz , Belarus 2 .

Yakov Kaller was the producer of copyright programs of famous figures of Russian culture - the rector of the Moscow Art Theater School, theater historian Anatoly Mironovich Smelyansky and People’s Artist of Russia, artistic director of the Moscow Hermitage Theater Mikhail Zakharovich Levitin . Over the years, these programs appeared on the channel "Culture" .

In June 2015, at the 1st Moscow Jewish Film Festival, Yakov Aleksandrovich Kaller received the award “For Outstanding Contribution to the Development of Jewish Cinema in Russia” ^[1]

On the website of his company it is written that J. Kaller is "a person who has a reputation as an effective manager."
