Geography
Located on the Bukava River at its confluence with the Dry Karsunka .
History
It was formed at the end of the XVII century, when they began to distribute land to serving people from the Malo-Karsunka fortress (now, c. Old Pogorelovo ) of the Simbirsk line , hence the prefix in the name - Malo-Karsunka Settlement. Then renamed to New Pogorelovo.
