A Brief Biography and Feat
He was born on August 4, 1966 in a peasant family in the village of Beryozovka of the Buturlinovsky district of the Voronezh region (now within the city of Buturlinovka). Russian. He graduated from the 8th grade of the Beryozovo eight-year school and vocational school. He worked on the farm "Berezovsky."
In the Soviet Army since November 1985. The service was part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops in Afghanistan . The senior driver of the tank, Komsomolets Private Sergey Igolchenko, whose combat vehicle was six times blown up by enemy mines and HEs , was wounded twice, shell-shocked six times, but remained in service each time.
