Biography
Graduated from Kiev National University. Taras Shevchenko ( 1989 - 1994 ), historian . While working on a thesis on European knighthood and courtly culture , he listened to private lectures by Ukrainian art historian Platon Beletsky . In 1992, he initiated the exhibition for the 70th anniversary of the scientist in the branch of the Museum of the History of Kiev.
The first place of work is the Museum of the History of the City of Kiev ( 1994 - 1995 ), and. about. Head of the Department of the History of the Ukrainian Diaspora Department.
At the same time, begins to write articles about culture , art and society . It is published in the publications Vilna Dumka ( Australia ), Facts and Comments , Financial Ukraine, the magazines Capital, Ptyuch ( Russia ).

Personal curatorial work
2001 - The Crucified Buddha , Kiev, Museum of Cultural Heritage [6] . The first solo exhibition of Alexander Roitburd , co-curator - Natalia Smirnova. For the first time in Kiev, contemporary art is on display at the state museum . The exhibition was held under the auspices of the US Embassy , since Roitburd then lived in New York .
2006 - the book "Papa and Ukraine" , the presentation of which was held at the National Philharmonic , Kiev [7] . The author of the text is Alexander Krasyuk, the artist is Yuri Nikitin. The project, dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the visit of John Paul II to Ukraine , was blessed by the Supreme Archbishop of the UGCC Cardinal Lubomyr Guzar .
2007 - Gilism , New York , Ukrainian Institute. Personal exhibition of Ukrainian artist of British- Australian descent Michael Merfenko [8] .
2012 - “Apocalypse and Renaissance in the Chocolate House” , Kiev , Chocolate House , a branch of the Kiev National Museum of Russian Art . An exhibition in the framework of the First Kiev Biennale "ARSENALE". The author of the idea is Oleg Kulik , the co-curator is Anastasia Shavlokhova, the organizer is Mironova Gallery. At the exhibition, 43 artists from Ukraine and Russia presented a metaphor of modernity, the image of a protester, a bewildered world in a state of second rest. Among the project participants are Andrei Monastyrsky , Arsen Savadov , Anatoly Osmolovsky , Dmitry Gutov , Ilya Trushevsky , Zhanna Kadyrova , Olga Gromova, Valery Chtak , Andrei Kuzkin , Oksana Mas and others. After working for only 15 days, the exhibition was censored: some of the works were damaged, and some were dismantled at the initiative of the museum’s directorate. In response, the curators decided to close the exhibition [9] .
2013 - “Flashing experience” , Kiev , KNU named after Taras Shevchenko [10] . The project of the artist Vladimir Kuznetsov.
2014 - “The Fourth Front” , Kiev , Taras Shevchenko National Museum [11] . Personal exhibition of Dnepropetrovsk artist Nikita Shalenoy. The project is devoted to the study of the helicity of history, drawing parallels between modernity and the Middle Ages. Doroshenko turns to the theory of the long Middle Ages by Jacques Le Goff . But if the French historian- medievalist claimed that this historical period lasted until the 19th century, then the “Fourth Ceremonial” demonstrates the duration of the "dark time" so far.
Khazaria curatorial group
Together with Eugene Minko, in 2004 he founded the Khazaria curatorial group.
With her active participation, the first Ukrainian translation of Jean Baudrillard was published - “Symbolic Exchange and Death” (Calvariya Publishing House) [12] . The cover of the book was a picture of the crucified Buddha by artist Aleksanr Roydburd .
In the same 2004, Khazaria presented a multimedia campaign “Options” [13] , combining experimental electronic music , video art and graphics . The participants are Kotra, Alla Zagaykevich, Zavoloka, Michael Merfenko and others.
The exhibition "Purification" is the latest project of the Khazars [14] [15] . The project in the Kiev House of Artists took place between two rounds of the presidential election-2004 , which gave its name and imagery additional connotations. Participants: Lyubko Deresh (text), Kotra (sound), Michael Merfenko (painting), Svtelana Volnova (photo).
"Clinic Doroshenko Grischenko"
In 2009, Doroshenko, together with Oksana Grishchenko, creates a new art association: "Doroshenko Grishchenko Clinic." Her mission is proclaiming the improvement of society through art. Each of the co-founders comes forward with its curatorial projects, sometimes the Clinic attracts outside curators (Tatyana Gershuni, the Out project, Kiev, 2010 ; Coan Jeff Bayza, Out: Neurodiversity, Kiev, 2011 ). As part of the "Clinic" Doroshenko has already implemented a number of projects.
2009 - “Last Year - First Year” , personal exhibition of photographer Valery Miloserdov ( Kiev , Russian Center for Science and Culture at the Embassy of the Russian Federation ) [16] . Having presented photographs of the last year of the USSR’s life and the chronicle of Moscow during the GKChP days, at the height of the global financial crisis, the project recalled the crisis that brought global reformatting of the global economy and geopolitics.
2009 - "Inectoids and reptilians - the search for harmony" , Beijing , Hotel "Friendship". The project was created by Doroshenko and Michael Merfenko during the XXIV World Congress of Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy in Beijing, as a reflection on the discussions that unfolded there [17] [18] . For five days, the artist painted works of Chinese ink on rice paper , the curator wrote an essay commentary on the congress. The project was presented on the last day of the forum, and in 2010 the project was presented in Miami , USA , as part of the Red Dot Miami Art Fair. Since the author of the metaphor “insectoids and reptiloids” as applied to the mentality of different peoples is the Kyrgyz geologist Ilyas Sadybakasov, the culmination of the project was his exhibit in the scientist’s homeland, in Bishkek . Exhibition at the Bishkek National Art Museum. G. Aitieva in 2011 was supplemented by Svetlana Volnova's photo project “Aziz” and objects by Michael Merfenko [19] .
2009 - “ Genghisides of Ukraine” , Kiev , gallery “Dukat” [20] [21] . An exhibition of portraits of Crimean Tatra khans recreated by the artist and icon painter Yuri Nikitin in collaboration with the historian Oleksa Gaivoronsky.
2010 - “Inner Light” , Kiev , National Art Museum of Ukraine [22] . Joint exhibition of Taiwanese artist Lee Sandan and Michael Merfenko. Co-curator - Oksana Barshinova. A year earlier, Li Sandan was presented by the curator, theorist and art historian Akille Bonito Oliva at the 53rd Venice Biennale .
2011 - “Fatal strategies” , Kiev , 7th pavilion of VDNH [23] . The project of the Ukrainian designer and artist Olga Gromova, dedicated to the work of the same name by Jean Baudrillard , the release of the Ukrainian translation of which became one of the components of the multimedia campaign. The set designer is George Senchenko, who, in tandem with Arsen Savadov, became one of the founders of Ukrainian contemporary art. The collection of clothes created by Olga Gromova for the project in the style of architectural bionics in the final of the defile was burned in front of the public - 280 Kiev and foreign VIPs . “Fatal strategies” received the Grand Prix of the Ukrainian Event Award and the first places in the nominations “Best Cultural Event” and “Best Creative Concept of the Event”.
Books
As a result of Doroshenko’s work in the spring of 2015, the book “The End of the Late Iron Age” [24] [25] by Laurus publishes a book. The book includes texts published by the author over twenty years of his work in journalism in various publications, as well as many archival photographs.
