Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Dolzhanka River (the left tributary of the Black ), 20 km northwest of the district center - the village of Plyussa . 3 km west of the village is Dolgoe Lake.

History
The first mention of the village is in the payment book 7006 (1497/98) of the year .
“The Grand Duke, the village of Dolzhitsy Ignatovskaya Kostyantinova da Ivashkovskaya Eskina, plow, and dues and bread for half a half Nugorodtskaya, more than reliable, and feed 13 money with a quarter.”

Until January 1, 2006, the village was part of the now abolished Dolzhitsky volost as its administrative center. Until 2015, it was part of the Plyus volost , and until 1995, it was part of the Plyus village council.
