Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art

The Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art was created in Krasnodar by the efforts of the art group "ZIP" in July 2011 ^{[1] [3]} .

The goal of the Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art is to create an artistic intellectual environment in the region, to collaborate with contemporary Western artists and artists of the CIS countries, as well as with regional art communities in Russia ^[1] .

At the premises of the Krasnodar Institute of Contemporary Art, artists, journalists, designers, architects, activists gather to discuss and work with various pressing artistic and social problems ^[4] .

In November 2012, admission to the School of Contemporary Art was announced at KISI, the course of which is designed for 3 months and includes lecture and practical classes ^[5] .

Since 2012, the venue of the artists associated with KISI was the Cultural Center "Printing House", opened in the former printing house "Soviet Kuban" ^[6] .
