Village Day is celebrated on the last weekend of August .

Title

The village got its name from the location of the first street - along the Sura River, in Old Slavonic “ along the river ” [3] .

Geography

Located in the Sura valley, 150 km by road from Cheboksary .

There are a secondary school, an equestrian school, a children's art school, a local history museum, 2 libraries , a Palace of Culture. A local newspaper in Russian, Poretskiye Vesti, is being published.
