Shotgun

Shotgun competitions for the first time entered the program of the World Championships in 1929 in Stockholm . Then medals were played in the individual and team standings at the trench stand among men. In 1930, Rome hosted the first separate world championship in trap shooting. In 1947, a round stand shooting competition was included in the championship program, and since 1962, it has included women competitions. Since 1965, world championships in shotgun shooting have been held 3 times in 4 years. Separate tournaments are held for odd years, during the years of the world bullet shooting championships they are held together with them, and during the years of the summer Olympic Games they are not held. In 1961, 1967, 1973, 1975 and 1983, the world championships in trap shooting were held in conjunction with the world championships in shooting at a moving target.
