Biography

Born November 21, 1922 in Tashkent in the family of Czech origin. In early 1923, together with his family, he moved to Odessa , where from the age of 5 he studied piano . In 1930, in Moscow, he entered the school of E. F. Gnesina , from which he graduated in 1937. After receiving the profession of electrician, since 1938 he worked at a construction site. In the evenings, he worked as a pianist- accompanist .

In 1942, Alfred Mirek, along with his father Martin, was arrested on charges of counter-revolutionary agitation, sentenced to 7 years in prison and sent to Unzhlag , worked in logging. Due to serious illnesses and disability, he was released early in 1944. Rehabilitated in 1956.

In the spring of 1945 he began to independently master the game on the accordion . He gave solo performances, worked as an accompanist on stage and accompanied performances at the Borisoglebsky Theater. N. G. Chernyshevsky .

He returned to Moscow in the autumn of 1946, and in 1950 he graduated from the Moscow Musical Pedagogical School in accordion class. From 1947 he worked as a teacher of music school (until 1965) and led the accordion orchestra . In 1967, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Culture , where he studied at the faculty of the accordion accordion and at the same time (1963–1966) was engaged in teaching the bayan and accordion classes, and received a diploma from the conductor of the orchestra.

He was a member of the CPSU from 1962 to 1991.

In 1975, he passed a competition as a senior researcher at the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography and in the direction of the RSFSR Ministry of Culture to a doctoral program, where he prepared the fundamental scientific work “The History of Harmonious Culture in Russia from 1800 to 1941 ”, Which was approved by the big scientific council of the institute and becomes his doctoral dissertation. The defense took place in 1983 at the Scientific Council of the Research Institute of Art History of the USSR Ministry of Culture and received unanimously high recognition.

However, the award of the Academic degree and the award of the diploma of the Doctor of Art History in the USSR Higher Attestation Commission took place only in 1987, because after his defense in 1984 he was arrested on fabricated false charges in connection with the sale of the harmonics collection to the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography at an allegedly inflated price. and spent a whole year in the Kresty prison. At the end of 1986, according to the decision of the Prosecutor's Office of the RSFSR, the case was dismissed due to the absence of corpus delicti. The prosecutor's office compensated for the damage - the perpetrators of the investigative department were severely punished. In the last years of his life, he held a pronounced anti-communist position, the author of the book “The Red Mirage” about the formation of Soviet power.
