Falzaron [2] ( lat. Falsaron ) - 424-kilometer impact crater on Iapetus (satellite of Saturn ). Located in the Cassini region , inside the largest crater in Iapetus, Abim . The center coordinates are [1] Inside the Falzaron Crater is the 50 km long Dapamor Crater.

Crater Falzaron is named after one of the characters of the French epic “ Song of Roland ” (brother of the Lord of the Moors, Marsilius; the name Falzaron means “false”, “false”) [2] . This name was approved by the International Astronomical Union in 2008 [1] [2] .
Falzaron is the fifth largest crater of Iapetus after the craters of Abim, Torjis , Angelie and Geren . Nevertheless, it is one of the largest impact craters in the solar system .
