History
The original name Petrovskaya Street has been known since 1877, it comes from the name of Petrovsky Island , to which the passage went. April 16, 1887 was named after Mezen Street , in the city of Mezen, among the streets of the St. Petersburg side, named for the settlements of the Arkhangelsk province [1] .
The modern name of Azov Street is given on December 26, 1940, in the city of Azov . The street was abolished on January 16, 1964 and restored on June 5, 2001 [1] . On May 10, 2016, the street was again abolished [2] , since in fact it does not exist [3] .
