Biography
Born July 3, 1903 in the village of Kamenskaya, now the city of Kamensk, Shakhtinsky, Rostov Region, in a working class family. Russian
He graduated from elementary school. He worked as a miner.
In the Red Army since 1918. Member of the Civil War . Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1924. In 1935 he graduated from the Odessa artillery school of coastal artillery, in 1939 - advanced training courses for command personnel. In 1939-1943 - chief of artillery of the Separate Special Purpose Division named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky of the NKVD of the USSR.
On the fronts of World War II from June 1941. Member of Operation Bagration [1] .
In August 1944, Colonel Alexander Timoshchenko, artillery commander of the 28th Guards Rifle Corps of the Guard, in battles for the capture and retention of the Magnushevsky bridgehead on the left bank of the Vistula River, skillfully increasing the striking power of the corps artillery in the direction of the main strike, provided reliable suppression of the enemy’s fire system.
During the preparation for the winter offensive, using the results of artillery fire, parts of the corps on January 14, 1945 broke through the enemy’s long-term defense throughout its tactical depth.
After the war, the artillery officer continued his service in the Soviet Army. Since 1958 - in stock.
He lived in the city of Moscow [2] He worked at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University .
He died on April 11, 1974 . He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery (plot 29) [3] .
