Biography
Born in the family of a nobleman, a landowner who owned an estate in the suburbs.
In 1903 he graduated from the 7th Moscow classical gymnasium. He entered Moscow University at the Natural Department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. During his studies, he chose soil science as his specialty. In 1907, Odintsov transferred to St. Petersburg University, where he graduated in 1909 with a 1st degree diploma.
He was left at the department of agronomy to prepare for a professorship. Assistant, then - Professor at the Department of Agronomy of St. Petersburg University. Professor and vice-rector of the Petrograd Agricultural Academy.
In 1922 he was arrested and forcibly sent abroad as part of a large group of Russian scientists on the so-called. Philosophical Steamboat . He lived in exile in Czechoslovakia in Prague. He lectured at the Prague Institute of Cooperation, worked at the Russian National University and the Mineralogical Institute of Charles University .
