Range

The species Pityopus californica is found in the mountains in northern California [6] [7] , as well as in several places in the states of Oregon and Washington [7] [8] .

Biological Description

Perennial herbaceous plants . Inflorescence is a brush containing from 2 to 11 flowers [9] . All parts of the flowers are white, with the exception of pinkish-yellow anthers [7] . Pityopus californica is the smallest mycotrophic plant in the Heather family [10] .
