Biography

Born in the city of Kutaisi .

He studied in Leningrad at the Naval College. M. V. Frunze on the same course with D. Vdovichenko , N. G. Kuznetsov , S. G. Kucherov , S. S. Ramishvili , V. F. Tributs [2] . He graduated from college in 1926.

He commanded gunboats " Red Azerbaijan " (January 1933 - September 1936) and " Lenin " (September 1936 - July 1938) of the Caspian Flotilla . The leader of the Leningrad (July 1938 - February 1939), the 1st destroyer brigade (I.D., February - October 1939) of the Baltic Fleet ; at the same time until June 1939 in short-term courses at the Military Medical Academy ).

He commanded the training detachment (October 1939 - June 1941) of the Baltic Fleet, in which he took part in the Soviet-Finnish and met the beginning of World War II.

From July 2 to September 1, 1941, in the rank of captain of the 2nd rank, he commanded the Naval Base "Streams" [3] . After the base was disbanded in connection with the withdrawal of troops from the Luga defensive line, he led its evacuation to Kronstadt, Leningrad and Yaroslavl, for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star.

Further, the military commandant of the garrison of the fortress Kronstadt (September - December 1941), at the disposal of the Military Council of the Baltic Fleet (December 1941 - April 1942), assistant chief of staff of the Leningrad Naval Forces (April - August 1942).

Since April 1943 - in the rank of captain of the 1st rank, commander of a separate detachment of gunboats (consisting of: Sheksna, Bira , Burey, Nora, Selemdzha and Lakhta) [4] Ladoga military flotillas .

Participant of the Victory Parade on June 24, 1945 in Moscow.

January 27, 1951 awarded the title of Rear Admiral.

In 1953-1954 he studied at the maritime department of the naval faculty of the VVA named after K.E. Voroshilov , completed his studies with honors.

The chief of armament and ship repair of the 4th Navy (November 1954 - February 1956), the Baltic Fleet (February 1956 - June 1960), since October 1958 - simultaneously the deputy chief of the rear of the fleet.

Since June 1960 in stock for illness.

He was buried in the Theological Cemetery , and subsequently reburied in the Wakia Cemetery of Tbilisi.
