Vasily Grigorievich Popov (born July 26, 1880 ) is the son of an official of Art. Loose, 1st VO OKV. He graduated from the Orenburg Neplyuyev cadet corps (1897, studied with A. I. Dutov), Nikolaev Cavalry School , 1 p. (1899). In service since 08/31/1897., Major General , participant in the Russo-Japanese War and the First World War , and commander of the White Movement on the territory of the Orenburg Cossack Army . Member of the rebel movement in the South. Volga region (1921, Samara and Saratov provinces.), Commanded a detachment, tried to connect with the forces of A. S. Antonov , captured the city of Khvalynsky (03.17.1921). He died in battles with parts of the Red Army.

Biography
He was sent to the Turkestan sapper battalion to study the sapper business (06.16-18.08.1900). On privilege from 09/19/1902. From the exemption, he was sent to the Transbaikal Cossack Army to be sent to the Far East (01/28/1904). Member of the Russo-Japanese War as part of the 2nd Verkhneudinsky Cossack Regiment.
