Biography
Sonali was born on January 1, 1975 in Bombay . In addition to her, the family had three more daughters. She attended the schools of Kendriya Vidyalaya Malleswaram in Bangalore , a secondary school in Than , and then at a female school in Dehradun .
At the beginning of her career, she worked as a model, but decided to become an actress after the Star Dust Talent Search contest. Having made a decision, she studied acting. In 1994 she made her debut in the film , along with the then-popular actor Govinda . The film failed at the box office, but brought the actress two awards for the best debut female role.
In the late 1990s, her Hindi-language films failed at the box office. In 1999, the actress made her Tamil movie debut with the movie Kadhalar Dhinam , which was a commercial success. In 2000, she first starred in a cannabis-language film. The film was called Preethse and was a remake of the thriller “ Life under Fear, ” and the couple of actresses were popular actors Upendra and Shiva Rajkumar [2] . Mugri's Telugu-language debut paired with Mahesh Babu , released in 2000, was also successful.
The last film at the moment, in which Sonali played the main role, was the Telugu-language remake of the movie "The Brother of the Moon" - with the participation of Chiranjivi .
In addition to her acting talent, she was also a dancer and danced in the songs Humma Humma for the film Bombay , Aara Hile Chapara Hile for the film Apne Dam Par and Mujhe Saajan Ke Ghar Jaana Ha for the film Runaway .
In the summer of 2012, there were rumors that Sonali would be a jury member in India’s fourth season Got Talent program [3] , which, however, was not confirmed. In 2013, she starred in the movie [4] [5] . Her character did not fit into the usual form of all female supporting characters, but had her own personality. That is what made him special [6] [7] .
Personal life
On November 12, 2002, Sonali was married to director Goldie Behl [8] . The spouses have a son - Ranvir Behl (born 11.08.2005) [9] .
On July 4, 2018, Bendre announced on Twitter that she had recently been diagnosed with cancer in a serious stage, which had already metastasized; she is currently undergoing treatment at a New York hospital [10] .
