It is located on the right bank of the Shelon River, in the east of the district, 18 km east of the regional center of Dedovichi .

History
In 1959, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the settlement at Vyshegorodskaya MTS was renamed into Stanki [4] . Until June 3, 2010, the village was the administrative center of the now abolished Stankovsky volost.
