Etymology
The name comes from the activities of the population - the extraction of granite . Crushed stone is made of it here.
Economy
In the village there is an enrichment plant of JSC "ORMET" (enrichment of copper-zinc ore), as well as a granite mining enterprise and a crushed stone plant.

In the village there are many places of rest and leisure - a club, a bathhouse, a house of culture, a lake - where people go to relax in the summer.
