Biography
Born in Kharkov in the family of Ivan Martinovich Mezhlauk (Meshlauks), a Latvian teacher from the nobility, and a German mother, who owned two apartment buildings on Olminsky Street. Father, in the rank of state adviser before the revolution, was the director of the Novokhopersky male gymnasium and taught Latin there [1] .
In 1917 he graduated from the Law Faculty of Kharkov University and joined the RSDLP (b) . Active participant in revolutionary events in Kharkov . In 1917-1918, Deputy Commissioner of Justice of the Kharkov Council. On March 5, he was appointed Deputy People's Commissar of Justice of the Donetsk-Kryvyi Rih Republic . In March 1918 he participated in battles against the German occupiers. Since May 1918, the provincial commissioner of justice in Kazan .
On August 7, 1918 , after the liquidation of Soviet power in the city, he was arrested by the White Guards and executed.
