Vessel History
The vessel under construction number S.516 was ordered on March 15, 2010 at the Neptun Werft shipyard in Rostock - Warnemünde for operation on the Rhine , Main and Moselle rivers. The keel of the ship was laid June 28, 2010. On February 17, 2011, the ninth river cruise ship was handed over to the shipping company in the presence of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Minister of Economics Jürgen Seidel. The following week, a motor ship under its own power through the Baltic Sea , the Kiel Canal , the North Sea , the IJsselmeer and the Rhine arrived at the port of Cologne in Deutzer. On April 1, 2011, a baptism ceremony took place at Untermain Pier in Frankfurt am Main and became godmother Mirjam Brockmann (Frankfurt's prettiest 39-year-old official). [3] The ship is equipped with four Volvo Penta D12-450MH (KC) engines and is driven by four twin-bladed propellers. In addition, the Schottel Pumpjet-SPJ 82 traster , driven by a 405 kW engine, is installed in the nose. The vessel has low superstructures and a lowering cabin for passage under the old Moselle bridges and the Main - Danube canal. The ship cruises north to Hartlingen on the Wadden Sea , south to Basel, on the Moselle to Trier. Maintenance is carried out at the Deutscher Port in Cologne and in Frankfurt am Main. After transferring A-Rosa Brava , her home port in Rostock has not yet visited.
