Player Career
Early years
Troy Brower was educated at North Delta High School in British Columbia, Canada .
He started his hockey career with the Moose Joe Warriors of the Western Hockey League ( WHL ). During the 2005–06 season, Troy was the team captain and scored 102 points in 72 games, for which he was awarded the Bob Clark Trophy prize. This season was his final in Moose Joe Warriors.
Club career
Brower was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks at the 2004 NHL Draft in the seventh round under the total number 214. In the 2006–07 season, he played for the farm club in the AHL “ Norfolk Edmirals ”, gaining 79 points in the championship and hitting the national team of young AHL stars. Also this season, he made his debut in the NHL, where he spent 10 games in the Blackhawks .
Season 2007-08 Brower again spent in the AHL at the farm club - Rockford Ayshogs . March 23, 2008, he was summoned to Chicago for two games, in one of which he scored his first goal in the NHL at the gate of St. Louis Blues .
On June 9, 2010, Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup with Blackhawks.
In the summer of 2011, Chicago traded forward to the Washington Capitals . Last season, Brower played 79 matches, scoring 17 goals and giving up 19 shows. In return, the Hawks got the right to choose in the first round of the NHL draft of 2011 (26th peak). [1] Troy Brower signed a two-year contract with a capital club worth $ 4.7 million.
