History
For the first time in accessible sources, the settlement is found in the List of settlements of the Crimean ASSR according to the All-Union Census on December 17, 1926 , according to which the village of Tarkhan (formerly Kasyanenko) was part of the Sredne-Dzhankoy Village Council of the Dzhankoy District [5] . After the formation of the Kolai district in 1935 [6], the village was included in its composition.
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR of May 18, 1948, the former village of Kasyanenko was renamed Peski [7] . On June 15, 1960 the village was listed as part of the Kovrovsky Village Council [8] . The Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR “On the Enlargement of Rural Regions of the Crimean Region” dated December 30, 1962. The Azov region was abolished, and the village was joined to the Dzhankoy district [9] [10] . On January 1, 1965, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian SSR “On Amendments to the Administrative Zoning of the Ukrainian SSR - for the Crimean Region” [11], the village was included in the Nizhnegorsky District. According to the reference book, it was liquidated in the period from 1954 to 1968 [12] , but, apparently, from 1965 to 1968, since it was abolished as a village of the now-non-existent Kovrov Village Council of the Nizhnegorsky District.
