The administrative center is the village of Oredezh . The population is 2644 [1] people. (2018).
Geography
The settlement is located in the eastern part of the district.
The distance from the administrative center of the settlement to the district center is 30 km [2] .
History
In the early 1920s, the Panteleevsky Village Council with a center in the village of Panteleevichi was formed as part of the Butkovskaya volost of the Luga district .
In August 1927, the Panteleevsky Village Council became part of the Oredezhsky District of the Leningrad Region .
According to 1933, the center of the Panteleevsky Village Council was the village of Oredezh .
March 29, 1957 Panteleevsky village council was renamed the Oredezhsky village council .
On October 22, 1959, the Oredezhsky District was liquidated, the Oredezhsky Village Council became part of the Luga District [3] [4] .
On January 18, 1994, by resolution of the Head of the Administration of the Leningrad Region No. 10 “On changes in the administrative-territorial structure of the districts of the Leningrad Region”, the Oredezhsky village council , like all other village councils of the region, was transformed into the Oredezh volost [5] .
On January 1, 2006, in accordance with the regional law No. 65-oz dated September 28, 2004 “On the establishment of borders and granting the appropriate status to the municipality of the Luga municipal district and municipalities in its composition”, the Oredezhsky rural settlement was formed, which included the territory the former Oredezh volost (with the exception of 4 settlements transferred to the Tesov rural settlement ) [6] .
