Bahawalnagar ( Urdu ضلع بہاولنگر , English Bahawalnagar District ) is one of 36 districts of the Pakistani province of Punjab . The administrative center is the city of Bahavalnagar .

Geography
Bahavalnagar borders with India in the east, with the Bahawalpur district in the south, with the Vihari and Pakpattan districts in the west and with the Okara district in the north.

Climate
In summer, the region has a very hot and dry climate, with a maximum temperature of 52 degrees Celsius. In winter, the climate is very dry and cold. Winds and storms are quite common in the summer. The average annual rainfall in the district reaches 119 mm.
