Biography

Born on June 13, 1975 in the village of Bois-Bernard (department of the Pas-de-Calais ). She graduated from Lille University with a degree in Political Science. She began political activity in 2000, joining the Green Party. During the French presidential election in 2002, she was the spokeswoman for the green candidate Noel Mamer. Over the next five years, she worked as an assistant to the deputy, Yves Kosche. From 2007 to 2012 she was deputy chief of staff of the Left Democrats and Republicans faction in the French National Assembly.

In the 2012 National Assembly election, Barbara Pompili became a candidate for the Greens and Socialists Alliance in the 2nd constituency of the Somme Department and won, receiving 50.83% of the vote. Since June 20, 2012, she has been vice chairman of the green group in the National Assembly.

On February 11, 2016, she was appointed Secretary of State for Biodiversity in the second government of Waltz [2] .

On December 6, 2016, during the formation of the government, Kazneva received the position of Secretary of State for Biodiversity [3] . On May 10, 2017, the government ceased to exist in connection with the creation of the first government of Philip .

In the National Assembly, she led the Commission on Sustainable Development and Territorial Development.
